As a reminder, if you are a member of the Devonshire HOA, dues are voluntary. However, we have many new considerations that need to be taken care of this year:

  • We have to pursue revitalization of the HOA before any other action can take place, so we can get good with the State and have our HOA be legally bound again. This effort is forecasted to be expensive enough to probably exhaust our funds for this year.
  • We have to repair the link between the transformer and the meter before Duke will restore power to the front island. We want to get this done before the Christmas season so we can put out lights.
  • We have not yet selected a vendor for lawn maintenance of the front island.
  • The front island’s sprinkler system needs a new solenoid.
  • We are required to maintain a website for the HOA.
  • All HOA board members must undergo special training required by law for HOA board members.

If you haven’t already paid your dues, please get them to Jan as soon as possible. We will be canvassing the neighborhood to collect dues in the next few days from homeowners who haven’t paid.

The cutoff for Dues for 2024 is December 31st, 2024. As a reminder we raised the dues to $50/year, however we would appreciate any additional funds you are willing to contribute to help us deal with deferred maintenance issues. This is a problem all HOAs across Florida are dealing with as they try to interpret the new requirements.

A new Dues season will start Jan 1, 2025.
